Learning curve

I just ran my 6th half marathon and I am still learning a BUNCH.

  • Tapering really means tapering
  • 2 tiny cups of Gatorade screwed up my stomach, it is not an 'easy energy' solution
  • If I'm going to run early year races I have to figure out how to deal with ice, I was one step short of crawling over that bloody stuff on my hands and knees on Sat
  • Hydrate, hydrate - even when it's cold
  • I'm stronger than I think I am

I looked back at my lap splits and I was doing great for time when I wasn't inching over ice or fighting through pain.  This race had a ton of positives.

Couldn't resist.
