Leaving October Behind

Since the end of September I've been very focused on my weight, fitness and just feeling better.  Although I had races in October I did not train toward them, instead they fit into weight loss/fitness and finding fun and happiness in all of it.  I went though a bit of a reset mentally.

I ran 2 Half Marathons:

Harvest.

Rock n Roll Vancouver.  In the same hat apparently.

RnR Van 10k (race report coming up).

I lost 4 pounds (insert HUGE eff yeah here) I'm really noticing it around my ribs, I haven't been wearing my InB camis lately because of the 'extra' so I was delighted to find they fit me so much better.  Hoping the next loss will be around my middle. And off my arse please.

I saw The Proclaimers, life goal checked off!

Got back to strength training....

I've been eating much better and have got back into some positive daily habits (super simple stuff like replacing an energy bar with an apple).  Not only have I lost weight but I feel so much more like myself.  I can't believe how hard it was to do that but once I lost just a pound it really motivated me to keep going.  I liked the way I felt.

November goals?  Same again please.

I'm linking up with Ange and Carmy for goalchat today!

  1. Congrats on the weight loss! And it looks like you had a fun month with all the racing. Healthier eating is always big on my list so I'm hoping to stay committed in November!

  3. Pittsburgh hat + an SCRR side badge!? I live in Pittsburgh. :)

Found you through the goals linkup. Weight loss and feeling good through the holidays which always seem so crazy is important to me, so I'm focusing on several ways to make sure I keep feeling good.

    1. Hey Jessie, I love Pittsburgh! I'll be back for the marathon in May, can't wait! I firmly believe in staying focused through the holidays, honestly coming into Jan and not feeling good just sucks. Being proactive is by far the best strategy.
