My first race of 2020 will be a 5k at this awesome local event. It makes sense to start with a distance I can have a go at training for in 6 weeks. I haven't run a 'good' 5k since May 2017 so I would like to see if I can reverse the current trend (last 5k was 40 mins).
The plan is to continue long slow runs on the weekends then add a speed night and a tempo night. Currently I am not able to do my speed repeats even at Half PR pace, but it's a process. It all starts somewhere.
