Happy Palm Springs-versary!
I’m still harping on the difference between last year and this year, yep here’s another post. Humour me. This year on April 2 I’m having an ultrasound (and hopefully I think? some answers) whilst last year we were heading up to Pathfinder Ranch for BLU. Both somewhat anxiety inducing events in entirely different ways.
Our first stop is generally The Cheesecake Factory. I’m obsessed with the street corn, and various (many) other things. Come on you beauty!
Downtown Palm Springs is shockingly spendy but we didn’t want to be suburban in an Air BnB again so we chose gorgeous boutique hotels. This one is The Alcazar. So clean, so white.
Iconic Palm Springs.
Billy Reed’s has exceptional Pea and Ham soup so it’s also a must.
I wanted to do something interesting in and around town, luckily Desert X was underway. It’s a series of large sculptures and this one, Soul Service Station, is my favourite. Major Twin Peaks convenience store vibes.
This is another one in a botanical garden, The Living Pyramid. Gorgeous, I’d quite like to have it in the garden. It's enormous.
Boutique hotel deux for post race luxury is The Yara, also downtown. It’s absolutely magnificent.
Two people get full credit for dragging humanity out the back end of covid, David Lynch and Leslie. It is only fitting we pay our respects while in town.
This is like a slideshow you make your family sit through. Lol.
