Aurora, Waterfall, Moose

Last weekend we had a night in Glacier National Park for America’s 250th birthday.  But first we were up past midnight watching some natural fireworks.

Always different, always breathtaking

There wasn’t even a line at the US border the next morning.  I instantly feel peace when we enter Montana.  New welcome sign!  Happy birthday America.

There was flooding the previous week and the trail we planned to do was still closed so we went up to Apikuni Falls.  On a hot day I wasn’t mad about the far reaching spray.  It’s a beautiful waterfall.

I have previously disclosed my deep affection for Beargrass.  There was a lot of it on this trail, it’s a short one but packed with highlights.

We checked into our gorgeous cabin early.  I got a late cancellation for this, obviously having no idea it was about to flood.  Many Glacier was fully evacuated at one point, we were lucky it was able to reopen.

The Swiftcurrent trail was open to Fishercap Lake where later on we found this handsome guy hanging out.

This is life in technicolor.
