We got back to Calgary last night, thankfully we live high up in Cranston so the house and kitties are fine. Yellowstone has no internet, wifi or TV - we had no idea what had happened until we reached the hotel in Bozeman on Sunday night. My out of town friends and even some from the UK had sent messages asking if we were okay, then I saw the pics on Instagram. After that we trawled through news sites and Twitter for 3 hours trying to understand what had happened.
The extent of the flooding is crazy. We went out onto the ridge when we got home and had a look at the river through Fish Creek.

Some of our pathways have been clean washed away and the bridge is just dangling without an exit on the far bank.
Shit.
