Quite a while ago I registered for something I'm terrified about and it's coming up on Sunday.

I have done my training, including a 42 km a couple of weeks ago (hi Pittsburgh, love you).  Whatever I have to give on that course, every last little bit of it, I'll be giving on Sunday.

If I miss the 36.6 km course timing cutoff, I am diverted to finish the marathon instead.

I can't remember the last time I was this nervous about a race, but that's a good thing (apparently) because I'm pushing myself well out of what feels comfortable.

Yes, this is the first time I've mentioned it.

Phil has a point (and he's a world champion).
